Chef Elizabeth Marshall Announces Her Gluten Free Chinese Demo for Coeliac New Zealand’s Coeliac Awareness Week in May 2016
Wellington, New Zealand, May 9, 2016 - Wellington chef Elizabeth Marshall will be holding a Chineasy cooking demonstration event, in conjunction with Coeliac New Zealand’s Coeliac Awareness Week, at Wellington Girls’ Pavilion on May 18th, 2016.
“I feel it’s important to create delicious recipes everyone can enjoy together, including those with food allergies (GF, DF, EF) or those living “free from” diets,” shared Elizabeth, a former Masterchef New Zealand 2014 contestant turned local entrepreneur.
Coeliac New Zealand say It is currently estimated that 60,000 to 70,000 New Zealanders have coeliac disease (1 in 70), however up to 80% of those are unaware they have the condition.
“I’m sharing two recipes - one is a noodle dish and the other is a rice dish,” shared Elizabeth. “Simple, fast, authentic and tasty takeaways to make at home. These recipes are gluten free and dairy free, but you don't have to be. They can also be made egg free or vegetarian too. I’m really excited to share some fab tips to make cooking for yourself, friends and/or family members a whole lot easier.”
The Chineasy Cooking Demonstration will be held from 7pm to 8.30pm on Wednesday, 18th May at Wellington Girls' College Pavilion, Hobson Crescent (free parking available via Murphy Street).
